Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Margaret!

I'm Margaret Gallagher, a wardrobe stylist, visual storyteller, writer, and emerging film director based in the Pacific Northwest.

 

For years, I've had the privilege of helping bring stories to life through wardrobe design, collaborating on films, personal projects, music videos, editorials, and creative productions. I've always been drawn to the details that make a character feel real—the textures, colors, and visual choices that quietly shape how a story is experienced.

 

In 2025, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. What followed was a journey through surgery, treatment, uncertainty, and ultimately, healing. While it was one of the most challenging experiences of my life, it also became one of the most transformative.

 

Cancer gave me a renewed perspective on time, creativity, and the importance of pursuing the ideas that won't leave you alone.

During my recovery, I found myself returning to the stories I had always wanted to tell. What began as journal entries, notes, and concepts slowly evolved into scripts, story worlds, and a new creative path. It became clear that I no longer wanted to help tell stories solely through design—I wanted to create them from the very beginning.

 

Today, I am developing original film projects as a writer and director, beginning with my directorial debut, "The Summer We Found Tomorrow", and "Breathe". My work is inspired by hope, imagination, human connection, and the belief that storytelling can help us see both ourselves and the future differently.

Whether through wardrobe, writing, or directing, my goal remains the same: to create meaningful, visually rich stories that leave people feeling something long after the credits roll.
